Privacy policy

Ghostblock is a local-only ad blocker. It collects no personal or usage data of any kind.

What we collect

Nothing. Ghostblock has no analytics, no accounts, no telemetry and no remote servers. We never see which sites you visit.

What stays on your device

A single on/off preference and a local counter of blocked requests, stored with chrome.storage.local. Both live only in your browser profile and are deleted when you uninstall the extension.

Why the permissions are needed

declarativeNetRequest applies the built-in ad and tracker filter list; storage keeps your on/off preference; tabs and host access let the extension apply those rules and hide leftover ad slots on the page you are viewing. No page content is read, copied or transmitted.

Third parties

Ghostblock does not sell, share or transfer any data, because it never collects any. It makes no network requests of its own.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page along with the release that changes it.
